Windaroo State School has a range of staff that support
the school's core business, which is the learning and teaching of the
children who attend the school.
Business Services Manager is responsible for the management of support services for the campus. These include financial management, utility services, supervision of support staff, Workplace Health and Safety, community use of facilities, grounds care, HR issues, eg Workcover, Workplace Rehabilitation, staff leave and conditions. The Administrative Officers provide key support to the Business Services Manager and assists in the coordination of office and reception duties. Key duties include management of the School Management System, management of the Tracer system and delegated administrative and organisational duties. The officers provide support in the processing of accounting matters, including revenue collection support, as well as clerical duties, data processing and telephone management. Student Services Officer provides a public interface between students, parents and school staff. They meet on a weekly basis with the Deputy Principals in relation to curriculum and student related matters, as well as initiating the enrolment process for incoming families. Head of Curriculum, in the school context, works with classroom teachers to plan quality programmes for all students, helps with the implementation of new syllabii and Education Queensland initiatives. Teacher Aide duties vary widely and focus on student intervention in areas such as the Resource Centre, Preschool, Primary classrooms and Special Education Unit. Significant time is now spent on Intervention duties and Learning Support, much of the time on a one to one basis. School Facilities Officer provides facilities maintenance and ongoing repair function to maintain our school. They also monitor and support all onsite contractors. As support for the administration duties of the school they also perform duties such as banking and postage, manage deliveries and general security issues. Groundstaff maintain the physical school environment to ensure a safe healthy and physically attractive school. The officer maintains machines, equipment and grounds to ensure an great school for our community. The Cleaners provide a service, which ensures that work, eating and assembly areas are cleaned and that the hygiene of facilities is maintained. They also assist by checking that buildings are secured at the end of each school day. |
